My new septic system was installed yesterday. Despite the extremely tight working space Mr. Septic System Installer had to contend with, all went well. He and his team did a fantastic job.
Look how close to the house this monster machine was. I could have just opened the window and simply reached out and touched it!

Is it not especially a little boy’s dream to play with life-sized Tonka toys in the back yard?

Here’s the aftermath. I’ve certainly got my work cut out for me. Ugh.

Oh, and the other day while it was raining, I made these little scrap wood sailboats. Aren’t they cute?

Well, that’s all for now. Hope you’re staying cool and creative this summer.
What a big job! Hope that is the end of your home maintenance issues. Summer is going by too quickly.
Yes, my summer has been consumed by planned and unplanned home improvements. I'm pooped 🙂
We recently have had our share of large excavators working on our property too. I find myself drawn to watching them like a young boy. The delicacy and precision astound me. I love the sailboats…. Wishing you well with your next part of reconstruction….
Thanks, Brooke. Yes, I found myself amazed (and slightly jealous) with how he maneuvered that amazing machine. It was six weeks ago when this whole dilemma began, and I'm so glad the digging is done. Now, I can focus on cleaning up and piecing my garden beds back together…….. and filling in the ruts in my front lawn.
