How delighted I was this morning to wake up to a snowflake-y view. I love snow, and feel we didn’t get enough this winter here on Long Island, NY. Snow triggers the cozy craftiness in me; I’d be happy with snowflakes falling all winter long.

Snowy days are ideal for curling up and napping……..

But, I chose to do something else.

I printed up some vintage seed packet images onto watercolor paper, then hunted my house for some props to display them on.

The simplest of crafting activities is often all it takes to make a seasonal decorative statement.
Let’s see what other signs of spring are making an appearance at the createaerie.

Perusing through books and magazines is also a wonderful snowy day activity. This one is a gift I received from a friend who recently visited for a weekend. I can never have enough gardening books.

The quince branches I cut for forcing have finally begun showing off.

And, that!………. concludes my snowy, not-yet-spring day.
I just love how you displayed the spring images, Linda…and all of your spring photos are beautiful!
Thank you so much for visiting, Linda. Happy Spring!

Hope to see you at the party!
Thank you for visiting!
Love the flowering Quince. There are signs of Spring. It's all about whether or not we notice it. Here in southeastern NC, the daffodils have been blooming for the past two weeks. The Bradford Pears have been showing their blossoms as have the Forsythia. The Redbud have their light purple halos, too. The Pine pollen is casting a sage green on everything, whether or not it moves. Thank you for showing us what's happening in your region.
Love your spring collection. How do you print your cute garden water colors? What kind of printer do you have? Lovely ideas.
I typed in a search for "free vintage seed packet images", and dragged out the ones I wanted. I used my Word publishing program to resize them and set them up for printing. I cut my watercolor paper to the standard 8.5×11 and printed my images. I have an 'ancient" HP printer, but it gets the job done. Thanks for visiting!
Yes, the signs of Spring…… are relative to each one's region. Just days before the snowfall, my daffodils were poking up through the ground. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the sudden dip in temperatures won't affect them. We didn't get enough of a snowfall to blanket and insulate them. Thanks for stopping by.
The flowering quince are so pretty. Love that you are creating your own spring… since nature seems to be going the opposite direction this week!
I especially love the white flowering quince; the blooms are just so fresh and clean looking. Happy snow shoveling 😀
Love the prints! With all the snow, I bet you have been very busy 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing!
Yes, lately I've been one little crafty busy bee……. in a world of so many talented and fabulous buzzers.
Hi Linda, I love what you used to display your vintage seed packet images, especially the rusty hinge. All of your spring images are beautiful. Thank you for linking up to Talk of the Town. This post is my pick for this weeks party!
Julie, thank you for hosting and for selecting my seed packet image display as your pick for this week's party! Happy Spring!
Ingenious ideas to hold the seed packages!

Glad you like them,Nikki. By the way, they aren't the actual seed packets; I just printed images of ones. Thanks for stopping by!
Lovely Quince branches…happy nesting.
Thank you for visiting, and happy nesting to you!
