How delighted I was this morning to wake up to a snowflake-y view. I love snow, and feel we didn’t get enough this winter here on Long Island, NY. Snow triggers the cozy craftiness in me; I’d be happy with snowflakes falling all winter long.

I printed up some vintage seed packet images onto watercolor paper, then hunted my house for some props to display them on.

Perusing through books and magazines is also a wonderful snowy day activity. This one is a gift I received from a friend who recently visited for a weekend. I can never have enough gardening books.

Love the flowering Quince. There are signs of Spring. It's all about whether or not we notice it. Here in southeastern NC, the daffodils have been blooming for the past two weeks. The Bradford Pears have been showing their blossoms as have the Forsythia. The Redbud have their light purple halos, too. The Pine pollen is casting a sage green on everything, whether or not it moves. Thank you for showing us what's happening in your region.

I typed in a search for "free vintage seed packet images", and dragged out the ones I wanted. I used my Word publishing program to resize them and set them up for printing. I cut my watercolor paper to the standard 8.5×11 and printed my images. I have an 'ancient" HP printer, but it gets the job done. Thanks for visiting!
Yes, the signs of Spring…… are relative to each one's region. Just days before the snowfall, my daffodils were poking up through the ground. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the sudden dip in temperatures won't affect them. We didn't get enough of a snowfall to blanket and insulate them. Thanks for stopping by.
